Currently I’m in 7th grade, and my grade point average for the 1st nine weeks was 4.0 because I’ve had all A’s. I enjoy working with people and figuring out complicated math problems. I would rather work with people than not work with people at all. Everything leading up to this point has lead me to a great job for my future. When I graduate, I want to become a marketing manager.
I will become a marketing manager by going to college and getting my bachelor’s degree. According to the Ohio Means Jobs website there are a few things that I would have to learn like... “Sales and Marketing. I would need knowledge of selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics. English Grammar: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language...Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and coordination of people and resources.” I will be able to accomplish these goals by staying in school, doing my work, and keep getting straight A’s. Although I may need to work on my studying, I will be very good throughout my years of schooling and I am determined to become a marketing manager. Since many members of my family have careers in marketing I’m already educated in marketing and sales, and I understand new information quick, I will be able to learn more about it. I am not as good with English grammar, so I will really have to work at that aspect of being a marketing manager. I only know a little about administration and management, so I will have to work hard to know everything there is to know about being a marketing manager. In order to become a marketing manager I will need multiple skills that involve math, logic, and communication. According to the Ohio Means Jobs website, I will need to have these skills, “Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making...Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times...Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.” Although I need multiple skills to accomplish my goal of becoming a marketing manager, I will work hard to obtain and perfect these three skills. When it comes to active learning I’m really good, because I can learn new information quick. Although I’m good at active learning I’m not as good with active listening, so I will have to work hard to be better at understanding and listening to people. With critical thinking I’m on the fence of being good at it and not having this skill at all, which means I will have to work hard to try to obtain and perfect this skill. My job as a marketing manager is in demand in Ohio. I will be paid $118,730 a year, but I plan to work my way up from this position. According to the Ohio Means Jobs website, “Ohio will be looking for over 170 marketing managers as the yearly openings. Being a marketing manager pays a medium average of $128,750 a year and an average hourly pay of $62 in the U.S. In Ohio marketing managers get paid $118,730 yearly and an hourly pay of $57. ” Not only will I enjoy my job if I become a marketing manager, but I will be payed well. Although it might not change a lot, the average salary could go up or down within the years of my schooling, so the salaries aren’t certain. I either want to work my way up from this position or I would like to be very good at my job and get paid more than the medium average. Even though I might move around a bit I want to start out in Ohio, which works out well because marketing managers are in demand in Ohio. Market manager is something I was interested in during college, but I switched over to education. Good Luck with it I'm sure you will be successful. In your first paragraph make sure you don't just copy the information in but instead use citations
